Now you can Contact and receive free consultation from AdSense!

Google AdSense

The AdSense team, as you know, is quite eager to work with publishers, because Google values them for the sake of its interest. AdSense has always been helping out publishers by providing access to many tools and resources for problem solutions, such as FAQs, the Fix a problem troubleshooting section, and the AdSense Academy. Now, AdSense is bringing in another feature; a new personalized contact options page. There is a tab called HELP at the top-right, using which you can find solutions to your queries, or send feedback to the AdSense team by automatically sending a snapshot of the page you are on. A really great flexibility for AdSense users.

Facebook's Location Tracking - Are We Ready For This?

Facebook Places

With a stalling stock, and tough competition from peers, it seems Facebook is now getting a bit more than it bargained for. This probably explains why they're hard at work improving their service, and introducing more features such as Graph Search, video and voice calling, and some brand new marketing features, the list is long, but doesn't end there. Facebook is introducing a new location tracking feature, which will help Facebook friends who are nearby to connect to each other. Additionally, businesses will be able to reach out to customers and promote offers to users based on their location. Apparently, this is a big change. But are we ready for this kind of thing?

Google Analytics Solution Gallery

If you're like me, and like to check up on your blog's Analytics data every so often, then you must have wondered many a times as to what are the best metrics you could use to, say, see your stats from a certain perspective. For beginners, setting up Google Analytics can be a daunting task, since there are so many options, and the availability of the thousands of metrics to choose from doesn't make it any easier. Many people feel that their dashboard is lacking, and perhaps they are missing out on a lot of stuff, which is why they often turn towards online help, and see what other bloggers have in their dashboards. Well, hopefully, there will be no more looking now, as Google just announced a new feature, the Google Analytics Solution Gallery!

Google PageRank Update February 2013

pagerank update 2013

Google Toolbar has once again changed the green painted color. PageRank which is indeed a great link analysis algorithm has been refreshed and websites are now ranked again on the scale of 0-10 based on the quality backlinks. This latest Google PageRank update took place today i.e. 4th February 2013 as expected. Google rolls out a PR update on quarterly basis which means websites are ranked on a scale of 0 to 10 after every 3 months. The last update was on November 2012 and just after three months a new update was rolled out. For over two years, despite thousands of backlinks (over 7,800) our blog maintained a PR 4.0 and just today Google was generous enough to finally take us to the next level. We have Alhamdulillah attained PR 5.0 and it's indeed a great motivational feedback from Google. There are reasons why our PR did not increase for such a long time. For the past three months we had been working on a strategy that really played well and I will be sharing all these details today.

Video ad serving is now available in DFP Small Business for free!

Video ads

Using videos in your content is considered as one of the most effective presentation technique. It helps with visual aids, and makes it easier for the listener audience group to grasp your message. Indeed, serving videos is one of the effective ways of attracing traffic. And just like other content such as text and images, videos have great revenue potential. This means, that if you have a substantial video viewership, you can use that traffic to earn revenue for you through ads. And generally speaking, video ads sometimes tend to perform better on the revenue side when we compare equal amounts of traffic for video content, and simple text/image content. Google understands this, which is why it has been working on video ad serving for some time. And now, it has finally announced its video ad serving feature, and a free and unlimited video ad serving trial offer to DFP Small Business publishers.

Will Google Stop FeedBurner Service in 2013??

FeedBurner Closing?

There has been a lot of talk regarding FeedBurner recently. FeedBurner is a widely known email and RSS subscription service used by a lot of bloggers, chiefly because it's a free service. A couple or so months ago, many bloggers raised concerns when FeedBurner showed a subscriber count of zero for their blog. Since then, rumor has it that Google is shutting down the FeedBurner service in 2013 (probably for good, but we can't say anything yet). So is it true? And what would become of its users if it is? Indeed, the shutting-down of such a widely used service could prove to be a mistake on Google's part.

Google PageRank Update November 2012

Google PR

So, Google PageRank has been updated again this week, just as expected. And so far, the update does not seem to be a major one - but then again, give it some time. The last update took place in August 2012, and the one before that on May 2012. So it's pretty obvious that Google is now rolling out these updates quarterly, i.e. after every three months. So the next update is expected in the first 10 days of February 2013. We congratulate everyone whose PR didn't drop. And for those whose did, there's a few things you can do which we will mention. And again, keep in mind that Google PR should not a priority for you - read on to see why.

How to manage all your Cloud Storages From One Place?

Cloud storage

One of the best things about online cloud storage is, it is amazingly convenient and an effective way of storing and sharing your files. But the problem nowadays is, there are so many cloud services available that it becomes difficult to manage your content, since different services have their own pros and cons. So while I use SkyDrive for large files and Google Drive for documents and photos etc, I use DropBox for quickly sharing files with others. Managing all these services is a bit of a drag. Wouldn't it just be easier if there was a unified platform where you could manage everything 'under one roof'? Hojoki is just such a platform, where you can manage all your cloud storages from one place!
